Our Treatment Programs

Severe Behavior Program

Initial Evaluation
The client and caregiver(s) met with a team of specialists trained and experienced in the assessment of severe behavior problems. Some clients require only an evaluation and written recommendations, whereas others require outpatient therapy or day treatment.

Outpatient Treatment
Clients with less severe behavior are seen several days per week for 1-4 hours per session.

Day Treatment
Clients displaying significant severe behavior problems attend a clinical program for 6 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Intensive Community Based Treatment
In certain cases, our clinical team can be assigned to a setting or location in an effort to assess and treat a client in the natural environment. These services are reserved for critical cases with severe behavior problems requiring constant intensive clinical staffing.

Caregiver Training
Once an effective treatment is developed and validated, parents and care providers are trained on implementation. Long-term outcomes of a validated treatment depend on consistent implementation by caregivers across all settings. Highland Behavioral’s training includes didactic instruction, modeling, coaching and feedback.
